Teeth Repair & Restoration
Restorative dentistry is a general term for procedures and treatments that provide effective and beautiful results. These treatments will ensure that your smile is good as new.
Ailments such as bacterial infections, tooth decay, or even chipped or missing teeth can be addressed with restorative dentistry.
Restorative dentistry can also correct functional problems such as difficulty in biting and chewing food.
Restorative Dentistry That Is Close to the Original
Dr. Parker is trained in biomimetic dentistry, which guides his approach in restoring teeth to their natural health and strength.
Biomimetic dentistry literally means “life-like copy”; it is a more conservative approach to restoring teeth, and it aims to make only necessary replacements and corrections, using materials that closely resemble a tooth’s function and appearance.
Biomimetic dentistry can improve the long-term health of teeth
Hales Parker Dentistry Offers These Restorative Dentistry Options in Ladera Ranch
Dental implants replace the root of a tooth, and they are anchored to the jawbone. The implants then attach to dental crowns, dental bridges, or dentures, providing a permanent way to replace teeth lost to accident, trauma, or decay.
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap that is placed over a tooth, restoring its original size and shape and improving function. Dental crowns are an excellent solution for heavily damaged or missing teeth.
A dental bridge replaces one or more missing teeth. A dental bridge can be permanently secured to the teeth on either side of the missing tooth/teeth, or it can be removable.
Dr. Parker is the only dentist in the Ladera Ranch, Rancho Santa Margarita and Mission Viejo areas who provides CEREC restorations.
Using Computer Assisted Design (CAD) and Computer Assisted Missing (CAM), we can take a 3D scan of your teeth. Then Dr. Parker designs your dental crown, porcelain crown, onlay or inlay that is customized to your bite and teeth. The restoration is then cut from a solid block of porcelain. This is all done in one office visit, saving time and money; CEREC is also designed to preserve the long-term health of your teeth.
For a secure set of false teeth that can function like natural teeth, Dr. Parker offers implant-supported dentures, including an option that uses the All-on-4® treatment concept.
Implant-supported dentures are an excellent option over traditional dentures. Long-lasting and more comfortable, implant-supported dentures result in more natural biting and chewing, and they keep the jawbone intact, resulting in better long-term dental health.
“I can eat what I want. I’m not embarrassed to smile. I wave and smile to everybody. It’s been a big difference.”
