Total Mouth Reconstruction Is Now A Reality

Dentistry has evolved to a point where total mouth reconstruction is possible!

Have you had several teeth extracted? Do you have other oral problems like bone or gum recession?

Implants Can Be Used In Many Ways

Dental implants are strong, functional, and naturally-looking restorations with roots permanently anchored into the jaw bone.

Dental implants have been used for quite a few years to replace one or two missing teeth. They can now be used to provide a structure for bridges and anchored dentures!

Missing Teeth, Bone Recession, Gum Recession, and Broken Crowns

Every cosmetic dental smile makeover patient requires a unique combination of cosmetic dental procedures, but let’s talk about a hypothetical case involving numerous restorations:

A hypothetical patient had undergone extensive radiation for cancer several years earlier. The radiation therapy damaged soft tissues in her mouth and exacerbated tooth decay.

Eventually, most of her back teeth top and bottom had to be extracted. Four of her remaining teeth were cracked and her gums had pulled back revealing the metal bases of two old crowns.

The patient was also missing bone structure due to a recession after the extractions. To establish a stable site for the implants, she received bone grafts.

To restore a beautiful smile, she received eight tooth implants. The implants anchored partial dentures for her upper and lower back teeth.

Gingival grafts used to cover exposed tooth roots can protect against continued gum recession and alleviate tooth sensitivity. After soft tissue grafts, her front teeth received a combination of porcelain crowns and veneers.

The outcome? A stunning smile and renewed confidence! Plus no more dentures masking the taste of food and moving around in her mouth.

This case is representative of many of our patients who have a combination of concerns and several missing teeth. At Hales Parker Dentistry, we solve problems that many patients thought were impossible.
