A denture apparatus helps restore chewing capability and help life get back to normal. With the right plan and the right tools, they can be comfortable and functional, as well as look good!

Dr. Parker is passionate about cosmetic dentistry being comfortable and with his ability to add implant supports for All on 4 permanent dentures, they can be more comfortable than ever for patients in the Ladera Ranch, Rancho Santa Margarita and Mission Viejo area.

What is All on 4 Permanent Dentures?

All on 4 includes four to six dental implants which are placed and allow for the denture to be screwed into the implants and completely stable resulting in permanent dentures.

This is a way to get as close to your original teeth as possible. No adhesives, no removing the denture at night. Simply come back a couple times a year to our office near Mission Viejo to have the permanent dentures cleaned and for an oral cancer screening.

Supporting and Securing Your Denture

Dentures can be supported in different ways. The traditional method of support is to rest on the gums and create a tight fit to stay as stable as possible.

As implants have evolved, they allow for a much more stable support. Several implants placed can allow for the denture to snap in or actually screw into the implants. These dentures can radically improve the quality of life for the patient.

The confidence to chew without having to use adhesive or the tongue and cheek to keep the denture stable is pretty amazing.

Some things you may not have known about dentures:

  • The bone changes so much underneath the gums that dentures should be relined every 3 to 5 years to stay comfortable and fully functional.
  • When cleaning your denture apparatus, avoid toothpaste as it will scratch them allowing for more plaque to build up and thus make it more difficult to clean.
  • In our office, we have an ultrasonic machine that can get rid of the toughest build up. We would be happy to do that for you whenever you would like.
